Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

KBR Global aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on kbr.global. This is a target we work toward, not a certificate. We have not had the site audited by an outside body and we do not claim full conformance.

Accessibility is part of how we build, for our own site and for clients, and we keep testing as pages change.

What we have done

• Every menu, link, button and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, in a sensible order.
• The element that has keyboard focus shows a visible ring in the site's orange.
• Body text and labels are set against a dark ground with contrast at or above the AA ratio; the small mono labels are kept above the minimum too.
• Each page has one main heading and a heading order that screen readers can follow. All copy is real text in the page, never text painted into a canvas or an image.
• Images that carry meaning have alt text. Decorative layers are hidden from assistive technology.
• Form fields have visible labels, errors are listed in one place and linked to the field, and nothing depends on colour alone.
• Animation is used in the background layer and never carries meaning on its own. Where motion could get in the way of reading, it respects the reduce-motion setting in your system; slow ambient motion stays because the content is readable either way.
• Text can be resized to 200 percent without loss of content, and the layout works from 320 pixels wide upward without sideways scrolling.

Known limitations

We know about the following. They are on our list and this page will change as we fix them.

• Some pages use WebGL layers for decoration, such as the film loop behind the home page heading. They carry no information and are hidden from assistive technology, but they can be heavy on older devices and some of them do not yet respond to the reduce-motion setting.
• The showreel and product films do not yet have captions or transcripts.
• Some third-party embeds and services we link to, such as WhatsApp, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
• The chat with Kai announces new messages to screen readers, but long replies can be slow to read; we are improving how they are chunked.

How we test

We check each page with a keyboard only, with automated checks in current Chrome, Safari and Firefox, and at phone, tablet and desktop widths, including with the reduce-motion setting on. We also read the pages with the built-in screen readers on macOS and iOS. We do this before a page goes live and again when it changes.
